See below for an example of a problem we found on a new customers switchboard. This shows the white conductor at a much higher temperature than the red and blue conductors. This problem was caused by a crimp lug that had not been properly compressed and this caused heating within the joint. The cable was re-terminated with a replacement lug and the conductor in question is no longer a potential problem.
